To properly mount the ER clamping collet in the chuck you should:
- Insert the collet at an angle into the nut.
- Hook the collet groove onto the eccentric or cylindrical projection of the nut (fig. A).
- Push the collet into the nut (fig. B).
- Screw the nut with the pressed collet onto the chuck so that it is possible to secure the tool being machined.
