To properly install the ER collet in the chuck, perform the following:
- Insert the collet at an angle into the nut.
- Hook the collet's groove onto the eccentric or cylindrical notch of the nut (fig. A).
- Press the collet into the nut (fig. B).
- Screw the nut with the pressed collet onto the chuck so that the tool to be clamped can be secured.
