To properly mount the ER collet in the chuck, you should:
- Insert the collet at an angle into the nut
- Engage the collet groove with the eccentric or cylindrical projection of the nut (fig. A)
- Push the collet into the nut (fig. B)
- Screw the nut with the pressed collet together with the chuck so that the tool to be machined can be clamped
