To properly install the ER collet in the holder, you should:
- Insert the collet at an angle into the nut.
- Engage the collet slot with the eccentric or cylindrical protrusion of the nut (fig. A).
- Press the collet into the nut (fig. B).
- Screw the nut with the pressed-in collet onto the holder so that the tool to be machined can be clamped.
