To properly install the ER collet in the chuck, you should:
- Insert the collet at an angle into the nut
- Engage the collet slot with the eccentric or cylindrical protrusion of the nut (Fig. A)
- Press the collet into the nut (Fig. B)
- Screw the nut with the pressed collet onto the chuck so that the tool can be clamped
