To correctly install the ER collet into the chuck, you should:
- Insert the collet at an angle into the nut
- Catch the collet slot with the eccentric or cylindrical protrusion of the nut (fig. A)
- Press the collet into the nut (fig. B)
- Screw the nut with the pressed collet to the chuck so that the tool can be clamped
