To correctly install the ER collet in the chuck, you should:
- Insert the collet at an angle into the nut
- Hook the groove of the collet onto the eccentric or cylindrical protrusion of the nut (fig. A)
- Push the collet into the nut (fig. B)
- Screw the nut with the inserted collet onto the chuck so that it is possible to clamp the tool being processed
